Chantal Sheehan (she/her) is the Founder and CEO of Blue Fox, an advisory and back office solutions firm designed specifically for the social sector. Chantal is most well-known among clients and team members as being a transformational leader who cares about empowering others through empathy and education. Through her leadership, the Blue Fox team collectively defines why the company exists: You Matter and You are Enough! Blue Fox is on a mission to revolutionize the accounting landscape. Through a blend of technology, innovation, and a people-first approach, we empower nonprofits and social enterprises in a way that has never been done before. Chantal’s philosophy is that organizational sustainability can best be achieved through data-driven decision-making, capacity building, and the ability to leverage all the resources at hand to communicate financial information in a meaningful way. “Key decision-makers need to understand the story their numbers tell and then learn how to listen. That’s where we come in,” she says. As a recognized industry expert, Chantal shares her expertise with social impact leaders nationwide through various speaking engagements. She has been a keynote speaker at national conferences like Nonprofit Hub's Cause Camp, and she was selected to speak at NTEN's Nonprofit Technology Conference. She is an avid writer who spices up the topic of financial management in publications for BILL, Bloomerang, Hive, and Nonprofit Hub. Blue Fox clients refer to Chantal and her team as their financial right-hand, numbers guru, virtual CFO, and trusted advisor. Since its inception in 2015, the company has seen enormous growth. The company now serves clients across the country through its virtual service model. Chantal’s unique blend of experience in executive-level operations, financial management, and nonprofit leadership combine to make her vision a reality. She received her MS in Management from SIT Graduate Institute, her Certified Financial Planner certificate from Northwestern University, and is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She has nearly 20 years of executive-level experience in operations, accounting, tax, and marketing across the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
