Warm Up Your Office Cause It's Time To Tackle Your Taxes

2026 Tax Deadlines Are Flying By—Don't Miss These Key Dates

February 2nd was (ack!) the filing deadline for:

W-2 forms for employees
1099-NEC forms for independent contractors who were paid $600 or more
1099-MISC forms for other payments (rent, royalties, and interest, to name a few). These forms are due to the payee.

Next Up: March 16th
Both partnerships and S corporations must file their tax returns by 15th day of the 3rd month following the end of its tax year (or the immediately following business day). For calendar year businesses, this is March 16th.

After That: April 15th
C corporations or other entities taxed as C corporations must file their Form 1120 by 15th day of the 4th month following the end of its tax year (or the immediately following business day). For calendar year businesses, this is April 15th.

And Finally: May 15th
Nonprofit organizations can file Form 990 on the 15th day of 5th month following the end of its tax year. That will be May 15th if you operate on a calendar year.

If your organization operates on a different fiscal year (say, Jul-Jun), the return would be due on November 15th (or immediately following business day).
